Fans of the YEEZY 500 silhouette may have been left a little shortchanged in 2020 with limited releases for this sneaker. It was last seen in July 2020 with the release of the YEEZY 500 High Tyrian. Things might be changing, with adidas and Kanye continuing their partnership with the latest drop. The YEEZY 500 Enflame colourway is set to drop this month.
adidas continues a similar theme as seen on the YEEZY BOOST 700 Bright Blue from last week. The YEEZY 500 Enflame features a rubber wrap along the midsole, which provides both support and abrasion resistance. Its standout is its vibrant orange colour on the midsole.
This is in the form of the adiPRENE+ cushioning which is housed within the wrap. The adiPRENE+ absorbs impact while also optimising rebound. The rubber outsole gives it additional traction.
The sneaker features an upper made of full-grain leather and suede overlays. These materials offer a premium finish, soft to the touch, as well as being supportive and durable.
It features mesh underlays, which provide lightweight breathability and comfort where it is needed. The look is completed with reflective piping details that add unique design cues and visual appeal.
The YEEZY 500 Enflame will be available globally on 8 May 2021.
It will be available online at adidas.co.za, as well as adidas Original stores at Sandton and V&A Waterfront.
