Last week we saw the drop of the YEEZY 700 V3 Safflower. adidas Originals and Kanye are back for their latest release, the YEEZY BOOST 380 Calcite Glow.
The YEEZY BOOST 380 Calcite Glow was teased back in June and even spotted out in the wild back in September. The wait is finally over as the sneaker drops this week.
In keeping with the 380 design, the sneaker features an upper crafted from a multi-toned, re-engineered Primeknit material. It gets its name by means of its glow-in-the-dark glow, thanks to the threading in the sock-like construction. The upper provides a snug, comfortable fit for wearers.
Staying with the upper, the sneaker has a translucent monofilament window is woven into it. This creates both visual appeal as well as breathability for the shoe to keep your foot cool. To round off the upper, it includes stretchable lacing with a silicone closure. This allows for greater flexibility when you’re on the move, in addition to easy on and off.
The BOOSt midsole is ever-present. It too includes glow-in-the-dark features on the TPU cage. The midsole itself creates cushioning for the wearer, offering next-level comfort. Glow-in-the-dark features extend to the herringbone rubber outsole. It’s not just about the look, it offers improved traction in addition.
The new sneaker adds to the range of YEEZY BOOST 380 sneakers. This includes the Yeezy BOOST 380 Blue Oat and YEEZY BOOST 380 Mist, amongst many others.
There’s been no word yet on when the next season of YEEZY sneakers are set to drop. The range of sneakers has been quite a big talking point amongst fans, with mixed reactions.
The YEEZY BOOST 380 Calcite Glow is available from today. You can purchase a pair via the online site, or at adidas Originals Sandton and Waterfront stores. A pair of the sneakers retail for R4,499.
