adidas Originals has dropped their latest silhouette, the reflective Nite Jogger. The sneaker has a progressive design, which incorporates the classic archival cues from the original silhouette, mixed in with modern styles.
The Nite Jogger draws inspiration from the brand’s first foray into hi-visibility technology. Its contemporary design delivers an advanced interpretation of a classic style, which has been retooled and restyled the modern nighttime creator. The silhouette was designed to stand out and harnesses the functional reflective technology from past iterations. This allows the wearer to be clearly visible in the dark, taking on the beacon for the street style. The revolutionary new silhouette is powered by deliberately placed hi-vis technology to enhance its nighttime glow. The reflective materials feature throughout silhouette’s design, including the lacing, 3-stripes, heel patch, as well as highlight overlays. The materials bring together purpose-built technology and cutting edge design to enable late-night creators, who know it’s never too late to pursue their vision.
The Nit Jogger features a lightweight nylon ripstop upper, which includes a soft mesh knit, as well as suede overlays. To provide the most effective comfort and enable the most efficient nighttime exploration, the silhouette sits atop adidas‘ full-length BOOST sole. The re-imagining of the original Nite Jogger colourway is punctuated by featuring contrasting hits of orange, which is set against an all-black upper. The signature heel overlay acts as a visual nod to the OG, continuing a theme of looking to the past in order to innovate for the future. The Nite Jogger is a silhouette, which has been designed for the relentless pursuit of creativity and unbound by the constraints of daylight. The Nite Jogger is capped off with the message “the speed of nite” written in Morse code on the outsole.
The adidas Originals Nite Jogger is set to release worldwide on 12 January 2018. The silhouette will be available at adidas.co.za and at selected adidas Originals stores and will retail for R1,899.
