Following the successful launch of the first OZWEEGO drop two months ago, adidas Originals has extended the range of ’90s-styled aesthetics with its second collection. The team has once again reached into the adidas archives in order to create the latest expression, taking key elements from the ’90s silhouette to create a radically redesigned sneaker for the contemporary wearer.
The latest collection is inspired by the OZWEEGO 3, a lightweight and comfortable silhouette originally launched in 1998. The OZWEEGO is a sneaker born out of a continued search for the future of footwear aesthetics in order to represent the spirit of a new generation of creators.
The latest reimagining of the OZWEEGO adopts a more futuristic twist, which includes a distinctive eye stay panel, defined midsole lines, as well as a translucent support tube. The silhouette is built atop of adiPRENE technology from the archives, merging with adidas Originals DNA for creators today. The adiPRENE recreates a performance from the past for maximum comfort for the present. The OZWEEGO is a celebration of the brand’s reimagining of its past in order to create icons of the future.
The latest drop, the adidas Originals OZWEEGO will drop on 8 August 2019 and will retail for R1,599. The range will be available at select adidas Originals stores as well as online at adidas.co.za.
