In its short history, adidas’ UltrBoost range of performance footwear has changed the modern running shoe by offering great comfort and performance, while also being the envy of style icons and sneakerheads alike. The company has launched another addition to the range of UltraBoost footwear, taking an approach without laces in the form of the adidas UltraBoost Laceless.
There’s drive at adidas to focus on innovation and style, along with a paired drive to supply the most advanced and ground-breaking technologies for each of the different silhouettes. This has led to the creation of the UltraBoost Laceless, a sneaker that was specifically designed to make your running experience the most effortless yet, while looking good while doing so.
The new silhouette features advanced PrimeKnit technologies, removing the laces and dramatically changing the look and feel. The Laceless has shaken up the overall look of the UltraBoost range, while still remaining true to the core design principles of the range. The shoe features the renowned Boost sole, allowing each runner to unleash their full potential in adidas‘ most minimalist and style-focused design, while being just as comfortable in any other environment off the tar.
As part of their efforts to provide the best performance for the shoe, adidas worked closely with athletes to test and re-work its PrimeKnit upper, creating a compression fit that supports and guarantees peak performance for the runner – all without the need for laces. The sock fit is paired with a collar construction design, offering the perfect fit and permits the foot to move in harmony with the silhouette. The midfoot support and lockdown is also completed by means of integrated Forged PrimeKnit, with Aramis expansion zones around the rear, metatarsal flex point.
The adidas UltraBoost Laceless is set to drop on 6 December 2017, and will be available on adidas.co.za, at various adidas performance stores, and other participating retail outlets. The recommended retail price for the shoe is set at R3,299.
