The gentlemanly lifestyle look has become increasingly popular in recent months, and it is no secret why. Combining stunning browns and navy textiles to make a classy colourway on different silhouettes, wouldn’t you want to see what the Nike Dunk Low Premium or the Air Force 1 Low “Autumn Gentleman” sneakers would look like as a pair of Air Jordan 1 “Gentleman’s Game” sneakers?

Our brilliant designer here at Fortress of Solitude, Brandon Krige, has gone and done it once again, creating a masterpiece in a pair of sneakers, imagining what the stunning Nike Dunk Low Premium Men’s Shoes would look like if the vintage colourway was translated to the Air Jordan 1 High silhouette, and fitting in with the Air Force 1 Low “Autumn Gentleman” aesthetic. Having already accomplished it once before, showing us what the stunning colourway would look like on a pair of Air Jordan 11s, it should come as no surprise that these sneakers are stunning.
Starting from the bottom, we see that the neutral Ale Brown outsole has been preserved before the sneaker transitions to a stark white outsole, marking one of the only two white elements besides the white air logo on the tongue.

From there, the upper is a medley of textures and materials, including tartan, smooth leather, mesh, knit, and corduroy like the original Nike Dunk Low Premium sneakers, so let’s take a deeper look at all these stunning elements and how they work together to bring these sneakers to life.

Beginning at the tip, working its way up the mudguard, through the lower lace stays and the mid as well, we see a darker grey knit material that looks plush and almost out of place next to the structured textiles of the rest of the sneaker, providing a welcome juxtaposition against them.
The softer and plusher material breaks away to reveal the “Midnight Navy” corduroy that makes up the quarter, the perforated toe box, and the tongue of these stunning sneakers, allowing the grain to flow in different directions, artfully splitting up the sections of the sneaker. It’s rare for the textile of the tongue to match that of the toe box, but in this case, it works perfectly.

The same Ale Brown is repeated in corduroy on the Nike Swoosh with a lateral grain, working artfully to create direction throughout the sneaker and beautifully contrasting the grey tartan on the heel counter and spine of the sneakers.

Finally, the only real leather spot on the entire sneakers is the collar, providing plush support to the ankle in a Midnight Navy colour before transitioning with the same colour to the inner lining, an excellent and breathable mesh.
Unfortunately, these sneakers remain nothing but a concept pair for now, as most custom designs these days do. Still, we can always hope to make this a reality one day. If they were honest, they would make the perfect gentleman’s lifestyle sneaker, and we hope you agree.
