Air Jordan 3 'El Grito': Sneakers So Good, They’ll Have You Shouting!

Jordan Brands intends to continue its Mexican Independence Day tradition in 2025 by releasing the Air Jordan 3 "El Grito."

Although sneakerheads were somewhat divided by Jordan Brands’ first sneaker celebrating Mexican Independence Day, the brand plans to carry on the tradition in 2025. While the Jordan 5, released in September of this year, was inspired by the colours of the Mexican flag, its successor, the Air Jordan 3 “El Grito,” is expected to have a much darker design. Let’s have a closer look.

A Closer Look At The Design

Despite the fact that pictures of the impending sneaker have yet to surface, Sneaker Files has produced a mockup based on the verified colourway. The design will have a sleek “Black” and “Metallic Silver” style, delivering a completely different narrative from this year’s pair.

While little is known of the details, fans can expect some unique and intricate elements that pay homage to Mexican culture and history. As a point of reference, this year’s Air Jordan 5 included red and green elements drawn from the Mexican flag, along with embossed features inspired by Talavera. Therefore, we may see something more culturally meaningful replace the original elephant print details found on the AJ3.

So, expect more details than what is depicted in the mockup images below, as the release will likely differ from this concept.

Air Jordan 3 “El Grito” Release Details

For the time being, there is no confirmed release date for the upcoming “El Grito” AJ3, but it will most likely be around Mexican Independence Day on September 16, 2025. The sneakers will be available to purchase through Nike.com and select Jordan retailers.
