Can you believe the iconic Air Jordan 4 model is soon to mark its 35th anniversary? Rumour has it the Jumpman is gearing up to celebrate in style, ushering in new colourways to deck this classic silhouette. We’ve all caught wind of the forthcoming “Bred Reimagined” and the “Military Blue”, haven’t we? They are undoubtedly attention-grabbing. But hold your breath because there’s more on the horizon, including none other than the fresh and vibrant Air Jordan 4 “Oxidized Green” colourway, a captivating new iteration of the 1989 Tinker Hatfield design.

Although it’s not officially unveiled, the clever folks at @zsneakerheadz have rustled up a stunning mockup to give us an early peek into the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Oxidized Green”. The rendering teases us with a striking combination of “White”, “Oxidized Green”, and “Neutral Grey” – a colour scheme reminiscent of this year’s “Pine Green” 4’s. However, minute differences in colour shades and placements make all the difference. Enveloped in white, both designs flaunt a leather upper and bright white netting. Yet, where light grey suede panels frame the “Pine Green” toebox, the “Oxidised Green” opts for a slightly textured white leather finish instead.
From there, a deep “Oxidised Green” adorns the heel tab, support wings, and midsole. The iconic Jumpman logo, too, graces the tongue in this dark green shade. Amid these dominant hues, “Neutral Grey” on the eye-stays and rubber outsole gently contrasts the overall design. At the same time, a pair of straightforward white laces and a white midsole put the finishing touches, blending with the overall colour progression of the sneaker.

Of course, this design is a mere mockup – the final product may sport variations in its colour layout. We could see an all-green base or green accents with a completely different placement, or really anything in between. However, if the official release does mimic the current design, it will certainly serve as a consolation for those who missed out on the 2023 release of the highly sought-after “Pine Greens”. But let’s try to avoid getting automatically carried away. We know the final product often deviates from these early releases unless the colour layout has been confirmed.
One thing is sure for now. The Air Jordan 4 “Oxidised Green” is set to release on May 25, 2024. You can find them at Nike.com and selected Jordan Brand retailers, both in-store and online.
