Archive Weekly (13 February 2023) - For Your Valentine

In this week’s Archive Weekly drop, the retailer focuses on a number of Valentine’s Day colourways. The Nike pack, featuring four colourways, leads the way with the themed drop. Separate from the Valentine pack, a few new colourways are also available for the New Balance 550 sneaker.

Most of the sneakers were released on 14 February 2023 as part of the Valentine’s Day celebrations. Keen buyers would, however, need to be quick if they’re to snap up any of these limited edition sneakers or wait another year for a similar release.

Nike Dunk Low Valentine’s Day

Archive Weekly (13 February 2023) - For Your Valentine

Another Nike release, another Dunk colourway. The sneaker has been a mainstay in recent months, and that continues with a Valentine’s Day-themed colourway.

It features a mix of burgundy red on the toe box, laces, collar and sides, as well as the outsole. This is covered by off-white leather overlays across the sneakers. It is then finished off with a soft pink in tumbled leather for the Swoosh.

Nike Air Trainer 1 Valentine’s Day

Archive Weekly (13 February 2023) - For Your Valentine

The Nike Air Trainer 1 is a bit of an unsung hero. Along with its impressive style, the brand often experiments with modern materials with each new drop. That’s no different here with the Valentine’s Day variant.

It features a great mix of vibrant pinks, burgundy and off-white, along with the soft pink Swoosh. It has a similar colour blocking as with the Dunk but includes a much bolder take on the materials with a mix of soft leather, nubuck and suede.

Nike Air More Uptempo Valentine’s Day

Archive Weekly (13 February 2023) - For Your Valentine

The new Nike Air More Uptempo colourway was teased a few weeks ago and has finally received an official launch. Although it also offers themed colours as with the previous releases from the Valentine’s Day pack, it’s a lot darker in this case.

The sneaker features a deep wine hue across the upper, midsole and all the way across the outsole. There are contrasting pink accents, which provide a nice pop of colour against the backdrop. Its material, too, stands out. It features soft leather across the upper while introducing a towel-reminiscent material on the pink accents.

Nike Air Max 97 Gold Bullet

The Nike Air Max 97 Gold Bullet has been trending since it was leaked in August 2022, ahead of its official announcement a month later. It dropped at the end of 2022 in North America and Europe and has finally made its way onto South African shores.

It’s been a while since the last release of the Air Max 97, and it makes its return in absolute style.  It features a predominantly gold leather and mesh upper. Further to this, the red Swooshes have been embroidered across the side and tongue. Lastly, the white midsoles contrast against the gold to tone down the overall aesthetic.

New Balance 550 – Multiple Colourways

Four new colourways are being released as part of this week’s Archive Weekly. The sneakers have been a popular drop for the retailer recently and have also become a crowd favourite.

These four new colourways include Blue Haze, White Dark Mercury, Pine Green, and Off White Chile Red. Each colourway is showcased on the front and back of the midsole, the heel TPU, the New Balance logo and “550” text, and additional accents throughout.

Are you keen on any of this week’s Archive Weekly Valentine sneakers?
