Archive Weekly (5 September 2022): With a Splash of Colour

In the previous edition of Archive Weekly, the release schedule featured two New Balance sneakers, two Nike and two Converse for an even split. This week, Archive Weekly (5 September 2022) features another set of New Balance and Nike sneakers, and new adidas sneaker.

Archive Weekly: Extending the August Range (22 August 2022)

New Balance 90/60

New Balance has seen a sharp rise in popularity in 2022. It’s no longer seen as just the Dad sneaker. And, as a result, the brand has been releasing several new colourways to its classic sneaker lineup. The two new colourways featured this week are added to the New Balance 90/60 sneaker.

These new colourways are the Castlerock and Grey silhouettes. The Castlerock colourway features an all-over black upper with touches of grey throughout. The Grey’s name sums it up adequately.

Moreover, while the Castlerock sneaker has a primarily leather upper, the Grey adds a touch of suede. As a result, you get a more dramatic appeal. Lastly, both sneakers feature the large “N” from its classic lineup, along with a logo in red on the tongue. It has a large chunky midsole. As a result, you have a tall and aggressive-looking sneaker.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Crimson Bliss

Archive Weekly (5 September 2022): With a Splash of Colour

The Air Jordan 1 Mid has seen several new colourways in 2022. It is clearly one of the most popular sneakers around the world. This week’s variant brings the Crimson Bliss colourway to life.

Its full colourway name is Crimson Bliss Rush Orange and pretty much sums up the colour palette. The upper is crafted in a smooth leather finish with overlay panels around the toe box, and quarter panels. The underlying base is featured in a peach colour with overlays in a vibrant orange. As a result, you get a very bold, standout colourway.

Further to this, on the rear, you have a black heel and collar, along with the Swoosh. Lastly, the heel-counter Wings logo is done in orange against the black.

As with the New Balance 90/60, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Crimson Bliss colourway will drop on 10 September 2022.

Nike Dunk High Chenille Swoosh

Archive Weekly (5 September 2022): With a Splash of Colour

Another of the sneakers that have seen plenty of new colourways in 2022 is the Nike Dunk High. This continues with the newly-added Chenille Swoosh colourway.

The primary colours featured on the silhouette are red and white on a leather upper, along with a green overlay on the rear, which overarches into the lacing system. This colour palette was designed as part of the University series, meant to resemble varsity jackets. The red used on the sneaker is known as Habanero Red, as a result of the chilli palette.

You can also get your hands on the Nike Dunk High Chenille Swoosh this week, 10 September.

adidas Campus 00s Notting Hill Carnival

Archive Weekly (5 September 2022): With a Splash of Colour

The Campus is one of the most classic sneakers in the adidas archives. Because of this, we’ve seen plenty of colourways and collaborations over the years. And, this week sees the release of the adidas Campus 00s in the Notting Hill Carnival colourway.

The carnival is held, as the name suggests, in the Notting Hill area. It was established in 1966. This sneaker pays homage to this with the new Campus colourway. It features an all-black leather upper, which includes the three strips and laces. In addition, it has a bright-coloured bird motif underneath the stripes on the lateral sides. This motif represents the burst of colour seen at the carnival.

The adidas Campus 00s will release on 9 September.

Will you be copping any sneakers from this week’s Archive Weekly (5 September 2022)?

You can get your hands on any of the sneakers dropping this week, online at ArchiveStore.co.za, as well as in stores across the country.
