Archive Weekly: Latest Sneakers Dropping This Week (20 June 2022)

This week’s release calendar for Archive featured another all-Nike collection. Ranging from the classic Air Jordans to the Nike Dunk, there are quite a number of options for Nike fans this week from Archive Weekly (20 June 2022). Here’s the full rundown of what’s releasing this week.

Air Jordan 1 Low

Air Jordan 1 Low

First on the list this week is the Air Jordan 1 Low. This is one of the Jordan mainstays for the brand. As part of this week’s drop, there are two colourways featured. This includes the Neutral Grey and Washed denim colourways.

The sneaker originally dropped some 35 years ago and continues to be a fan favourite. While the Neutral Grey features a clean aesthetic, the Washed Denim has a tie-dye denim finish. There are also subtle differences, with the former having the OG Nike Air branding on the tongue, and the latter having the Jumpan logo.

Both of these sneakers will be available from 25 June 2022.

Air Jordan 1 Mid Elephant Print

Two weeks ago, the Air Jordan 3 Dark Mocha dropped, featuring an elephant print on the toe cap and heel counter. This week, however, Nike has gone bolder with the Air Jordan 1 Mid Elephant Print.

The majority of the sneaker includes a mix of grey neutrals across a mix of materials. This includes textured leather, suede panels and nylon tongue. However, the standout is definitely the elephant-textured toe and eye stay. It also features black laces, to tie in with the toe box and side panels. In contrast to the light and dark greys, the colours are rounded off with a red Jumpman.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid Elephant Print releases on 25 June 2022.

Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT Venice

Sneakerheads can step into comfort with the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Air Comfort (CMFT). This women’s sneaker has been reimagined to make one of history’s most iconic sneakers more wearable. It combines a suede upper with a cosy lining, flexible foam and responsive cushioning.

The Venice suede has a pink hue to it, which is contrasted against the cutout, white Nike logo. The midsole features an off-white finish, with the outsole a similar pink tone to the upper.

The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT Venice is available from 24 June.

Nike Dunk Low 3D Swoosh

Nike has modified its iconic Swoosh logo for decades across many silhouettes. This time around, the brand has added a 3D-styled Swoosh on the Nike Dunk Low.

The sneaker itself features grey leather panels atop a white leather base. The Overlaid Swoosh stands out against the neutral colours, which feature blue, red and volt green hues. This is representative of the RGB colour palette on digital formats.

You don’t have to wait that long to get your hands on a pair of Nike Dunk Low 3D Swoosh, as it releases on 24 June.

Nike Dunk High Pure Platinum

When bursting onto the scene a few decades ago, the Nike Dunk High was featured in a dual-tone colourway. Most of these colourways were inspired by university colours, who were sponsored by the brand. The dual-tone approach, however, has stuck over the years.

This time around, the Pure Platinum colourway features a mix of grey and white. The white is featured on the overlays, as well as the laces, midsole and Swoosh. Underneath, the base features a grey hue, featured on the mid panels, collar and toe box.

The Nike Dunk High Pure Platinum colourway will be available from 24 June.

Nike Air Max 90 Futura Grey Pastel

Last on Archive Weekly (20 June 2022) is the Nike Air Max 90 Futurar Grey Pastel. Unlike the aforementioned sneakers, the Futura doesn’t boast the same popularity. However, with significant enough sales across the globe, it receives a new colourway update this week.

The upper features a mix of pastel colours rearranged from the original 1990 configuration. The base for the upper is a blue mesh (with grey hue), with multiple overlays, including a hairy, grey suede wrapping around the bottom of the upper, along with touches of green, yellow and pink. Additional design elements include pull tabs on the heel and tongue, layered eye stays, as well as a half-stitched Swoosh logo.

The sneaker is set to drop on 23 June 2022.

Sneakers from this week’s Archive Weekly (20 June 2022) will be available online at ArchiveStore.co.za, as well as in-store around the country.
