Archive Weekly: Latest Sneakers Dropping This Week (6 June 2022)

Check out this week’s roundup of sneaker releases on Archive Weekly for the week of 6 June 2022. The latest collection (coming this week) features six new sneaker drops from Archive.

Archive Weekly: Latest Sneakers Dropping This Week (6 June 2022)

Air Jordan 11 Low 72-10

Kicking off this week’s drops is the Air Jordan 11 Low 72-10. As the name suggests, the colourway has been inspired by the then record-breaking Chicago Bulls squad from the 90s. The team completed a historic season in the NBA for the 96-96 campaign.

Black is featured heavily on this colourway, throughout the upper, made of patent leather. The midsole features a White base, while there are Gym Red accents scattered throughout. This includes the tongue, the “72-10” text, which references the 72 wins and 10 losses that year. To round off the design, the sneaker has a translucent sail outsole.

The Air Jordan 11 Low 72-10 drops this week on 12 June 2022.

The sneaker features a White base upper, with “Dark Mocha” pieces throughout. This is especially prominent on the toe cap, as well as the heel counter. Additional colours include ‘Atmosphere’ and ‘Sail’. The overall theme is reminiscent of Neapolitan ice cream.

Various design elements are featured throughout the sneaker, including the elephant print overlays, as well as the base leather upper and Atmosphere (pink) accents. This contrasting Atmosphere colour is seen on the midsole, eyelets and Jordan logo. The Dark Mocha colour is also added to the sole to complete the look.

The Air Jordan 3 Dark Mocha is set for release on 11 June 2022.

Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT

The OG Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT was first released in 2020. However, there wasn’t much hype from the sneaker community around the first drop. That has since changed following that first drop.

For its latest colourway release, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT is featured in “Purple White.” Purple seems to be the trending colour of late, with this latest drop the fourth week in succession featuring a sneaker with a purple hue.

The sneaker has an interesting White corduroy base upper, with contrasting Purple leather overlays including the Swoosh. Black is used for the laces, tongue tab, collar and inner lining. Lastly, the midsole has a recycled build.

The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT Purple White is set to drop on 10 June 2022.

Converse Pride Collection

Rounding off the Archive Weekly (6 June 2022) releases is the collection from Converse, celebrating Pride Month. The collection includes the Chuck Taylor All Star Pride, Chuck 70 High Pride and the Run Star Motion Pride sneakers.

The Converse Pride Collection 2022 celebrates “Found Family”. This is a celebration of individuals that support one another across many facets of life beyond your immediate family. The collection also includes a digital gallery experience, which showcases the personal stories of 50+ individuals.

First on the list from the collection is the Chuck Taylor All Star Pride. It includes crafted patchwork, which combines the traditional black canvas of Chucks with a Pride rainbow bandana graphic. The aim is to bring a loud and proud look to your summer staple.

Then there’s the Converse Chuck 70. It gets elevated with a 50/50 patchwork canvas with a rainbow gradient star patch and rainbow deco stitching on the tongue. An egret midsole is added to neutralise the sneaker, while an egret outsole gets a Pride swirl for a pop of colour underneath.

The Run Star Motion reflects the energy of the city streets. It features playful and distorted lines that are built for future movement. It adds a rainbow gradient on the midsole, a Pride gradient star and Unity flag webbing on the tongue.

The Converse Pride collection will be available from 9 June 2022.

All sneakers from this week’s Archive Weekly drop for 6 June 2022 will be available online at ArchiveStore.co.za, as well as in stores across the country.
