Archive Weekly: Top Sneakers Dropping This Week (4 July 2022)

Archive Weekly has another selection of great sneaker drops this week, 4 July 2022. It features a mix of both high and low-top sneakers, with something for everyone. Let’s take a look.

Archive Weekly: Top Sneakers Dropping This Week (4 July 2022)

Nike Air Presto ‘Triple Black’

First on the list is the Nike Air Presto in an all-black colourway called Triple Black. The sneaker was originally released in 2000. Although it’s a training sneaker at its core, it has also made its way onto the streetwear scene.

The sneaker is crafted from a mix of lightweight materials and seamless construction. This includes a stretchy mesh upper at the fore, along with a soft approach on the cushioning. The upper also includes a plastic cage and side guards for additional support to secure the foot while on the move to create a balanced feel. Nike technologies within the design include the stable Phylon™ midsole and Air-Sole® structure.

The sneaker will drop in-store and online on 8 July 2022.

Here, the sneaker features a light pink base on the upper, which is seen on the mid-panel, toe and tongue. The overlays are then featured in bolder, orange and black colours. The orange is spotted on the front overlays, including the toe-cap, all the way up to the eye stays. Its rear is then finished off in a black colour on the collar and heel counter. This is also seen on the Swoosh, Jumpman and 23 symbols across the sneaker, with the wings on the rear featured in orange.

The sneaker will be available for purchase from 9 July.

PUMA CA Pro Mix

The last PUMA drop on Archive Weekly (4 July 2022) was the collaboration with Garfield. This time around, Archive drops another classic in the form of the PUMA CA Pro Mix.

The sneaker is an extension of the California family. It adds a stacked midsole to the CA Pro, including rubber plugs on the front and back, mixed in with more classic elements from the original silhouette. New touches include a slightly edgier look for a more modern appearance, along with the overhauled colour blocking.

Colours on the PUMA CA Pro Mix include PUMA White as the base and midsole, along with Tiger’s Eye (the brown shade) and PUMA Black on the Formstrip and extended heel tab.

Check back in-store and online from 8 July to purchase.

Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Brushstroke’

Another of the brand’s staples is the Nike Air Force 1 sneaker. This week sees the Brushstroke colourway released. Its design features mint and orange detailing atop a base white upper.

The sneaker features a smooth leather upper and Grind AF1 midsole. Its Brushstroke name is derived from the paintbrush effect on the Swoosh logo in mint green, which has a translucent rubber overlay. Orange accents, then, complete the look on the heel in suede, with orange lettering on the tongue as well. Overall, it’s a clean look for the AF1.

Get your hands on the Nike Air Force 1 Low Brushstroke on 7 July.

Nike Air Max 97 SE 2

The Nike Air Max 97 SE 2 makes a return this week with its OG look. As confirmed by its name, the sneaker was released in 1997. This streetwear icon features all the curves and cushioning on an Air Max sneaker.

It draws its design cues from a high-speed bullet train. This week’s colours are bright and vivid, featuring a grey base with yellow, blue and green neon colours. The Max Air Unit runs the length of the shoe in the midsole, to ensure all-day comfort and a natural spring. However, it is the Nike Swoosh that draws all the attention with its caterpillar addition.

The Nike Air Max 97 SE will be available from 7 July.

Nike Air Max 95 ‘Dark Beetroot’

This variant of the Air Max was first released in 1995 and designed by Sergio Lozano. It quickly became a classic in the streetwear scene. This was largely thanks to its cutting-edge, anatomy-inspired aesthetic.

The colourways have always been the drawcard on the Air Max 95 drops and its no different here with the Dark Beetroot drop. It features a mix of greys on the upper and midsole, contrasted against the burgundy colour on the eye stays and text.

The Nike Air Max 95 Dark Beetroot goes on sale on 8 July.

Nike Dunk High ‘Chocolate’

Lastly we have another Nike Dunk High silhouette with a Chocolate colourway. The Dunk has been a popular sneaker over the years and continues into 2022.

On this variant, it is featured on a brown colourway with slightly different blocking from the standard two-tone styles. It features an all-over brown leather upper in two different shades. This is contrasted against the white Swoosh, matching shoelaces and midsole. The look is completed with a solid brown outsole.

The Nike Dunk High Chocolate releases on 5 July.
