MSCHF is at it again, with some Toon Force magic, with their massive and cartoonishly proportioned Big Red Boots. If you have ever wanted to be a part of mixed media cartoons like Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Cool World, where comics and reality seem to mix seamlessly, you need these big red boots / sneakers / shoes.

These shoes (or sneakers, depending on how you define them) are relatively simple in design, as they are made up of a TPU rubber shell and an EVA sole unit. They are fantastic and weird, and they don’t really make sense.
If you have ever wanted to look like a cartoon stepping into the real world, these large and oddly proportioned shoes are the ones for you. They are almost mind-bending, and your brain wants to think that the campaign images have been photoshopped to make the model look like she is wearing shoes out of a cartoon. But it’s real. They really look like that.
MSCHF Sneakers’ Big Red Boots have been compared to something cartoon superheroes like Astro Boy would wear. And they are definitely a big statement. If you want to look like you are one step closer to being in the world of Betty Boop and Jessica Rabbit, don’t sleep on grabbing a pair.
Big Red Boots will retail at USD 350 (R6,279.80 depending on the exchange rate), and you will be able to find them on MSCHF.com or their MSCHF app as of February 16th, 2023. Maybe a little late Valentine’s Day gift for your cartoon crazed loved one?

This art collective has always tried to pull out all the stops with everything that they create, bending reality to their will and subverting expectations and conventions at every turn. Loading into their website will make you think that your computer has been hacked, as it loads up the three big “!!!” and starts scrolling through all the weird and wondrous things they have available on their website. They have weird and wonderful items there, like “a mystery box that pays you not to open it,” the Jesus Shoes (sneakers with holy water in the sole), AI-generated feet pictures, and so much more.
If you are a big fan of weird and beautiful things with a very niche purpose, this may be the place for you. In fact, I might need to get myself a pair of these Big Red Boots too.
