If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a pair of Born x Raised’s Nike SB Dunk Lows, then your big day is coming up soon. Ever since the first sneak peeks of this incredible collaboration found their way to the internet, they’ve fired up the hearts of sneaker devotees everywhere, primarily because of the incredible detail they exhibit.
Every nook and cranny of these Nike SB Dunk Lows exudes the fusion of creative flair and top-tier craftsmanship Born x Raised takes pride in. From the high-end materials to the classic colourway and subtle embroidery – it’s a work of art! Sadly, the launch had to be temporarily halted due to the unfortunate passing of Born x Raised’s founder, Chris “Spanto” Printup. But the long-awaited release of this coveted collaboration is now back on course.
Born x Raised’s Nike SB Dunk Lows hold a mirror up to Los Angeles and its Venice neighbourhood. Each design component and graphic pattern embedded into the shoe echoes the rich cultural heritage of the city fused seamlessly with Printup’s Native American roots.
The sneaker features a bright white and blue colour scheme, with crisp white leather accenting the shoe’s tongues, quarter panels and toe boxes, while a bold blue suede takes over the sneaker’s overlays. This colour combination echoes the hues of the L.A. Dodgers, paying tribute to the city’s rich baseball legacy.
Forging its unique path, the shoe replaces traditional dotted perforations with distinctive cross shapes on the toe boxes, along with an eye-catching pink embroidery embellishing the rear of the sneaker’s lateral side. These elements seemingly hint at the founder’s cultural heritage.
The exclusive “Born SB” co-branding is delicately featured on the sneaker’s tongue tab, holographic heel tab, and insole. The insole is also graced with an impression of Venice Beach, reflecting the essence of the legendary California skateboarding scene. In perfect harmony with the holographic heel tab is a large holographic Nike Swoosh embellishing the sides of this stunning sneaker design.
Emblazoned across the sneaker’s tongues and toe tips is Born x Raised’s characteristic motto, “One Block at a Time”. Additionally, the phrase “On the Turf” is adorned with a 3D block on the shoe’s heels and then appears again inside the tongue.

The upper rests gracefully on a white midsole and a transparent blue outsole, bringing a neat conclusion to the overall look. The white, blue, and pink colour scheme underfoot impeccably complements the rest of the design, capturing the extravagant degree of detail involved in creating this sneaker.
The sneakers are laced with a pair of blue fat laces but also come with bonus pink and white laces that highlight different elements of the sneaker’s upper when replaced. These extra laces offer a personalised and customisable experience, allowing wearers to create their own look. Whether you choose the lively and vivid pink or the neat and traditional white, these alternative laces inject versatility into the sneaker’s design, offering everyone the freedom to express their style in different ways.
You can catch the drop of Born x Raised’s Nike SB Dunk Low on September 28th exclusively on the Los Angeles-based brand’s website for a retail price of $130. Until then, be sure to follow us for more sneaker drops and reviews.
