Following their first collaboration in October 2018, Converse has once again joined forces with cult LA underground art collective, Brain Dead. Continuing where they left off, the latest collection draws inspiration from punk and hardcore music, comics and skate culture to design disruptive streetwear for an irreverent generation.
While the first collaboration focused on the Converse Chuck 70 silhouette, this second collection features the One Star. Brain Dead co-founder Kyle Ng was drawn to bring fresh life into Converse’s rich history of original prints, with the collection continuing the creativity from the previous drop and reimagines the One Star silhouette with mashups from its heritage, which includes both leopard and zebra with the classic stars and stripes. Each shoe has a contrasting print on the medial and lateral sides of the shoe, with the range available in Leopard, Polka Dot and Zebra colourways.
The all-new Converse X Brain Dead One Star will retail at a price of R1,399.99 and will be available in stores including Shelflife and Converse Sandton, MOA and Canal Walk.
