The Converse sneaker has always been about being functional before anything else. From its early roots as a basketball sneaker to streetwear, workwear and everything in between. With its latest Chuck 70 drop, the Mono Patchwork, Converse merges an American workwear classic with a newly created, ruggedised silhouette, with textured fabrics and raw finishes.
With the likes of the Converse X Ambush and Converse X Undercover drops in recent months, the brand is no stranger to mixing it up when it comes to rugged designs and textures. With the new Mono Patchwork release, the limited-edition Chuck 70 is featured in camo green and industrial white.
The Mono Patchwork silhouette is based on utilitarian basics of American workwear while combining the bold patchwork trend for the season. The Chuck 70, with its military references, features an all-over rugged canvas and khaki tones. The design is remixed with tone-on-tone finishes for a new take on industrial classics and camouflage effects.
The Converse Mono Patchwork Chuck 70 is currently available online at converse.co.za, as well as at Converse stores at Sandton City and Mall of Africa, in addition to Shelflife.
