In August, Converse dropped its latest collection as part of the CX series. This was introduced via the Converse Run Star Motion pack. For the month of September, the brand is extending the range with the Converse Weapon CX collection.
Converse’s CX series is best exemplified by next-level comfort. Furthermore, it also means ease of wear and a progressive design ethos to enhance movement.
The Converse Weapon CX pack introduces two new silhouettes: the Create Next Comfort Mid and the Orcinus Mid. The latter also brings with it two colourways in Black and White.
Reaching back into its archive, Converse reimagines these silhouettes to deliver lightweight comfort with its classic court aesthetic. The Converse Weapon CX pack is a remake of an 80s on-court sneaker brought back to life. It features the original Y-bar for foot stability, as well as the pairing of a CX foam midsole. Additionally, the sockliner and newly engineered outsole designed will also assist with support in each stride.
The sneaker was designed using a 360° approach. CX enables both new expression and experience while solving the issue of comfort, engineering additional benefits and inspiring bold new forms.
Each of the sneakers from the pack is defined by the CX foam. It boosts your impact absorption and also maximizes long-lasting wear. It provides a unique manner in which the sneaker is created, looks and feels on your feet.
There are three key aspects to create the Converse Weapon CX series. This includes Fit, Ride and Stride.
-
Fit: Each sneaker delivers overfoot comfort and ease of wear. It adapts to the foot and enables easy on-off as well.
Ride: This ensures both underfoot comfort, new proportions and stance using CX foam and EVA foams.
Stride: A new rubber outsole was designed for traction and durability.
The Converse Weapon CX series is currently available online at Converse.co.za.
It is also available in-store at Converse Sandton City, Superbalist, Sportscene and Shesha.
