Converse has partnered with many brands and artists in recent months, across many successful collaborations. The team are back with another collab, this time for the Converse X Comme des Garçons collection, featuring the PLAY Chuck 70 sneaker.
The two brands have joined forces for a simple, but stylishly remarkable execution from the Converse archives. The PLAY Chuck 70 is based off the classic Chuck Taylor sneaker, with updated styling with a playful twist.
The new graphics on the upper are the love-child of New York graphic artist, Filip Pagowski, and Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo. The quirky heart-and-eyes logo is a recognisable graphic in the fashion industry a style staple from Paris to New York. It is now proudly featured on the silhouette.
The PLAY Chuck 70 sneakers come in two colourways, including black upper and white sole, or milk upper and white sole.
The Converse X Comme des Garçons sneakers have launched exclusively online at converse.co.za from from this past weekend.
The sneakers are available in both hi-top and lo-top cuts with a price of R1,899.95 for the lo-top pair and R1,999.95 for the hi-tops.
