In August, Converse and Feng Chen Wang debuted its first collaboration. The duo is back with its second drop from the Converse x Feng Chen Wang collection.
While the first drop featured a reimagined Jack Purcell sneaker, the second features the classic Chuck 70. The latest collection sees the continuation of the mixed material duality of the Feng Chen Wang design inspiration. The 2-in-1 Chuck 70 was born.
Having first been released on the runways of New York and Shangai, the 2-in-1 Chuck 70 is available for public release. Hit the shelves and hit the streets. The high top 2-in-1 Chuck 70 is features in two sneakers into a single combination. Feng draws upon the inspiration of the “My Half” collection. It portrays two distinct sneaker halves being fused together into one cohesive whole.
This disruptive take on the Chuck 70 features premium materials, separating the iconic design and stitching it back together in a unique form. The upper includes extra canvas overlays with unique double foxing and even a split outsole.
In addition to this split design, the 2-in-1 Chuck 70 also includes an exaggerated outsole in separate quadrants. The heel loop for wrap-around lacing is included.
There are two colourways included in the Converse x Feng Chen Wang pack. This includes a Black and White variant, as well as an Orange and Off-White version.
To round off the designs, the sneakers include an OrthoLite Insole to provide that extra comfort while hitting the streets. Both of the silhouettes include Feng Chen Wang branding throughout the design, from the laces to the heel as well as the insoles. The Converse branding is still visible as part of the ‘inner’ of the two combined sneakers.
The Converse x Feng Chen Wang 2-in-1 Chuck 70 is available exclusively online at converse.co.za, as well as at Shelflife and Converse Sandton City. The sneaker retails for R2,299.95.
