In 2020, Converse teamed up with Chinese designer, Feng Chen Wang. The success of their debut collection was soon followed by a second drop almost a year ago. After having hit the fashion runways earlier this year, the duo is back with the latest Converse X Feng Chen Wang.
For this release, a dynamic 2-in-1 Chucks returns to the streets with a bold design that mirrors cracked concrete. The silhouette adds a new dimension to the infamous 2-in-1 Chuck 70 on the previous release.
As with the first, this sneaker is presented in a unique execution, portraying two sneakers converging into one cohesive style. Additionally, it features a vivid graphic on leather. This creates the illusion of the sneaker being sealed in concrete.
With the slogan, “Reborn from the Rubble” you can see the visual representation of the theme. Feng Chen Wang’s disruptive take on the icon is back and bolder than ever.
This high-top sneaker is offered as a limited-edition release. It features Converse signature double foxing, split number plate and quite a few of the well-known elements that make the shoes unique. Comfort elements include the OrthoLite Insole with representative branding.
Additionally, it also features elements unique to the Feng Chen Wang style. This includes an exaggerated stacked outsole split into quadrants, heel loop for wrap-around lacing and Feng Chen Wang branding.
From the fashion runways to the streets. The Converse X Feng Chen Wang 2-in-1 Chucks will be available for R2,799.
It will be available for purchase online at Converse.co.za. In-store sales will also be available at Converse Sandton and Shelflife from today 12 October 2021.
