After months of teasing the upcoming collaboration, the wait is finally over. Converse has teamed up with pop culture icon Hello Kitty for the Converse X Hello Kitty range, featuring the Chuck 70s, Chuck Taylor All Stars, as well as two variants of the One Star.
In 1974, two legends were conceived, Hello Kitty and the Converse One Star. Forty-four years later and the iconic duo have collaborated to create the perfect combination of pop culture and function. The Converse X Hello Kitty range includes various colourways across the different silhouettes. The Chuck 70s features a black upper with graphic print (screen-printed Hello Kitty), with the All Stars featuring a white upper and graphic (custom bow lacekeeper, with Hello Kitty seen playing peek-a-boo with friends). The Chuck 70s and All-Star silhouettes also feature the written print: ”Say hello to me when you see me.” The two One Star silhouettes include black and pink uppers. The black variant also features a custom heel overlay with rubber pawprints and puff print bows, while the pink version features an embroidered bow and a polka dot lining.
The Converse X Hello Kitty is already available in South Africa and can be purchased from Converse stores, X-kids, and Office London across the country.
