Following last weekend’s release of the partnership with Jerry Lorenzo for the Converse X Fear of God drop, Converse has partnered with two streetwear brands to bring a touch of artistic restraint and sophistication to the Chuck 70 for the Converse X Moncler X Fragment collaboration.
Having collaborated with streetwear legend, Hiroshi Fujiwara, in the past, Converse has taken the partnership to new heights with its latest drop. The newly release Chuck 70 features an elevated style, through a bold lens of Moncler’s Genius project.
The collaboration takes on an artistic, albeit minimalistic, approach to design, creating a statement with its black and white colourways. This simplistic colour blocking allows the creation of contrasting elements such as the stitching on the black canvas, as well as the camouflage on the white to stand out.
The low top sneakers are crafted in a canvas upper with rubber foxing and contrasting branding, which includes Moncler code text. The heel features Converse‘s vintage licence plates, this time cobranded, featuring the Moncler Genius logo, as well as the Fragment design logo. Another inclusion is the pro leather wordmark.
The standout feature on the sneaker comes in the form of the marks on the heel, combining the three style legends. One shoe. An iconic collaboration.
The Converse X Moncler X Fragment sneakers are exclusively at Shelflife and Lemkus stores, as well as online at converse.co.za and will carry a retail price of R1,999.95.
