It’s been four years since Daft Punk officially announced their split, and given there aren’t any signs of a reunion, chances of fans ever seeing a collaboration between Daft Punk and the Air Jordan line are slim to none. However, sneaker artist @ale_spinelli_ allows us to dream with his Daft Punk x Air Jordan 1 concept.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

What might an official partnership between Air Jordan and Daft Punk entail, then? Well, Spinelli envisions sleek metallic leather uppers with flush branding elements as a nod to the duo’s signature robot helmets.

The French electronic music duo are well-known for their futuristic aesthetic and penchant for wearing elaborate helmets to conceal their identities. So, this design by Spinelli is precisely what we would expect from a collaboration between Daft Punk and Air Jordan: a sleek, slick, and futuristic Jordan 1 coated in patent leather with a hint of white on the midsole for balance.

Is The Daft Punk x Air Jordan 1 Available For Purchase?

Unfortunately, this pair is only a beautiful dream—or perhaps a nightmare for some; after all, wearing a full-on patent leather shoe invites unsightly wrinkles. Still, these would be a must-have for any die-hard Daft Punk or Air Jordan enthusiast if they ever come out.

While we wait for that day, be sure to check out our site for a variety of other sci-fi-inspired sneaker designs, including Jordan Brand’s futuristic Air Jordan 3 RTNA sample and our Tron Legacy and “Cyborg” sneaker concepts. And remember to stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more custom and concept kicks.
