While the NOCTA Glide has been teased a few times in the last year, with Drake himself being seen wearing a few teased colourways, we finally have a preliminary first look at the Nike NOCTA Glide in “Black/White”. And the reactions from sneakerheads are mixed.

NOCTA Glide “Black/White”
The NOCTA Glide was first spotted courtside on the feet of none other than Drake himself in two colourways so far, one red and the other dubbed “Triple White”. Fans have been blessed with first-look images of a “Black/White” pair.
The NOCTA Glide sneakers are inspired by the classic Zoom Flight 95 but with a few added touches. The Zoom Flight 95 has three bulbous pods that make up part of the sole, but the NOCTA Glide adds a fourth pod to the silhouette.
The NOCTA Glide also wholly changes the upper construction, with a strong line separating the upper into two segments. On this pair, the black and white colouring of the sneakers interchanges, with different patterns of the two colours mingling all over the sneakers.
The uppermost part of the upper has plain black mesh, only broken by the branding details that house the lettering for NIKE. The lower part of the upper wears a two-toned weave, swapping between black and white, and separated with a white Swoosh on the side.
The pods in the midsole also emblazon the black and white patterning, in an almost checkered pattern, surrounded by white, while the translucent outsole rounds out the pair and also pays homage to the many basketball sneakers that have come before it with their own icy translucent outsoles.

Drake’s Sneakers with Nike
Drake has created a few sneakers with Nike, from exclusives for his friends and family to the Hot Step Air Terra, which blends modern looks with a retro aesthetic.
The NOCTA line is one of the more recent ones, and as part of the NOCTA line, the NOCTA Glide is one of the most highly anticipated sneakers. Fans eagerly await a release date and an idea of how much these puppies will set them back. Still, unfortunately, the in-hand preview didn’t have any of those details for us, so we will have to wait and see.
Despite that, we can look forward to seeing these sneakers on shelves and released online later this year, as is the usual fair once we have pictures to look at, so stay tuned for more details on this epic pair of sneakers!
