Earlier this year, we got to see a detailed look at Drake’s upcoming Nike NOCTA Glide in the “Black/White” colourway with the promise that other colourways might be on the way. In June, we only knew about three possible colourways, but now there is confirmation of at least 6, so let’s take a look, shall we?

The Nike NOCTA Glide has been lovingly inspired by Jason Kidd’s Zoom Flight 95, except the NOCTA Glide has four pods in the midsole instead of three. The upper is almost entirely made of a durable ballistic mesh, and the eyelets of the sneakers spell out NIKE. The tongue, the insoles and the third pod of each sneaker bear the NOCTA branding as well.

The first colourway is the Black/White-White-Clear pair that we have seen a glimpse of in the last few months, with the upper being predominantly black, separated by a rim of white before transitioning to black and white carbon-fibre-inspired ballistic mesh. The midsole surrounding the carbon-fibre-like pods is a bright white to match the detailing on the rest of the sneakers, and the outsole is an icy, translucent white.

The second colourway is Bright Crimson/Black-Black-Chrome. The upper is blanketed with Bright Crimson, and the carbon-fibre look only appears in three outsole pods, with the last one being chrome, showing the NOCTA branding. The midsole surrounding the chrome pod is black, breaking up the red of the rest of the midsole before transitioning back into the black for the outsole.

The third colourway was previously eluded to as being triple-white because of the way that it is dominated by white throughout the sneakers. On this pair, every element that can be is white, and the carbon-fibre elements have been completely dropped, replacing each pod in the midsole with a chrome finish instead. The colourway is called White/White-Chrome-University Gold, and it’s hard to tell from the image where the university gold comes into play. Still, it could be with the arch piece.

You can only have an all-white pair with a matching end of the spectrum and an all-black pair, and luckily Drake and Nike have us covered. This pair is Black/Black-Chrome. The upper is entirely blanketed in black and swaps things out compared to the white pair, bringing back the carbon-fibre inspiration for the pods in the midsole and even replacing any metallic sheen for the arch section.

The fifth colourway is a striking bright green, or Green Strike/Black-Black. The pair is the brighter version of the red pair for sneakerheads wanting their shoes to be virtually glow-in-the-dark. You will turn some heads with this pair as they are eye-catching and almost blinding in their brilliance.

The last colourway that seems to be on offer is the White/Black, a similar colourway to the first, but changing out the translucent outsole for a black one, and swapping out the black upper section for complete white, matching perfectly with the elements of the rest of the sneaker.
The release for these sneakers is rumoured to be starting next summer, and it has been confirmed that the collection will be available through select Nike Sportswear retailers like NOCTA and nike.com (SNKRS). The sneakers are set to be priced at a reasonable $160, offering style and quality without compromising affordability.
