Following the recently launched PUMA Faster+ ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, PUMA has released its latest football boot. After the release of the PUMA Ultra 1.1 in 2020, the 2021 variant extends on this with the next-generation, PUMA Ultra 1.3.
What makes the pack unique is that, for the first time, PUMA has introduced both Unisex and Women-specific silhouettes. The aim is a trailblazing new speed boot. It makes a huge step for PUMA as it shows its commitment to moving the game forward, supporting the Women’s game.
PUMA has embraced change through its Faster Football movement. With the aim to speed up the game with innovative products, while also supporting leaders, young players and break down barriers in the sport.
The latest Ultra range is a leap forward with an abundance of innovative new technology. This allows PUMA athletes to perform at their highest levels with the tools provided. With the understanding that there is a different need when it comes to fit for male and female athletes.
The PUMA Ultra 1.3 is faster, lighter and more durable than before. PUMA has introduced a unisex and women’s boot. It has been reengineered with a lightweight MATRYXEVO woven upper. Additionally, it features Carbon yarns and transparent Mono yarns. Both of these are combined with SPEEDCAGE to create a multilayered frame for rapid movement.
Furthermore, the PUMA Ultra 1.3 includes a GripControl Pro skin. This is features across the entire upper, which provides a texture for easier command of the ball.
The Ultra 1.3 Unisex has a PEBA SpeedUnit outsole infused with running spike DNA. This supports lightning-fast acceleration. In addition to this, the Women-specific variant features a custom PEBA soleplate with conical studs.
The PUMA Ultra 1.3 Unisex and Women’s football boots will launch on 29 July 2021.
Both boots will be available online at PUMA.com, PUMA stores, Totalsports and select retailers across the country. It will retail for R3,599.
