Everyone was excited about the Fear of God x adidas sneakers samples that were leaked a while back until it was revealed that the sample was a fake, as the Fear of God designer, Jerry Lorenzo himself, confirmed that the actual sneakers would be announced soon. As it turns out, the designer had planned to reveal the latest sneakers with adidas at the Hollywood Bowl, and they did just that. Fear of God x adidas Sneakers.
The highly anticipated Fear of God x adidas sneakers walked down the runway at the Hollywood Bowl to the delight of many celebrity onlookers. As with most of the Fear of God collaborations, it was revealed that the sneakers would be arriving in two different colourways, a darker and a lighter model.
The sneakers have stayed close to Jerry Lorenzo’s signature style, and you can see a few similar elements used in his previous collaborations. The label loves its minimalistic design, as seen with its minimal use of lines. Additionally, there is no distinction between a midsole and an outsole, providing one cohesive and seamless unit that travels up to meet the toe cap. There is minimalistic and unobtrusive branding, as usual, but the inspiration is still there. You might think there was no branding at a quick glance. Still, the way that the stripes of the upper construction are designed is shaped like the adidas logo and doubles as the lace stays for the sneakers. The construction of the sneakers is exciting because it has a spandex-looking collar that is clearly designed to be a great fit, helped by adding both laces and a drawstring around the ankle to customize the fit.

The darker model’s colourway is mostly the signature Fear of God grey, with a touch of white here and there. In addition, it has grey for the upper adidas construction, grey laces, and a grey woven upper, all complemented by the white toe cap and the solid white sole.
The solid white sole is maintained for the lighter model, which inverts the colour of the rest of the sneaker, having a contrasting grey toe cap. In contrast, the rest of the sneaker is all white.
Fear of God Collaborations
Fear of God is a line that really stays true to its aesthetic. In each of the sneakers they have created with signature sneaker labels, they love their look and are sticking with it. They usually feature contrasting toe caps/boxes and a very sleek silhouette, and the Fear of God x adidas sneakers seem to draw inspiration from the previous Fear of God 1 and the Fear of God Raid. Nothing had recently come out of the adidas collaboration, which fans were impatiently waiting for, thanks to their long-term deal for partnerships.
