90s cartoons are making an amazing comeback in the world of sneakers, much to the delight of both 90s kids and sneakerheads alike. Luckily for us, these sneakers are coming to us in the hands of sneaker customisers like @artbyartllc. These stunning custom Nike Air Jordan 1 Low sneakers have been customised, taking otherwise plain sneakers and transforming them with a stunning array of colours.
Starting from the bottom of the sneakers, the outsole is completely white, and the underside of the outsole is marked with a muddy human footprint, presumably in honour of the many fossils of prehistoric footprints that can be found from the era in which the Flintstones is set.
From there, we can see that the colours on the sneakers represent each of the Flintstones family members, starting with Fred Flintstone. His iconic orange outfit with rounded black triangles is at the forefoot panelling in a stunningly bright hue.

Next, we see Betty Rubble’s soft blue dress represented on the toe box, arguably one of the more muted colours in the colourway.
Although it doesn’t have the markings, we can presume that the artist took some creative liberties to ensure the sneaker was relaxed (although that is debatable). The bright yellow mid-foot panel represents Bamm-Bamm Rubble.
The Nike Swoosh covering the middle part of the mid-foot panelling is an earthy dark brown with cartooney-wood detailing. Still, the brown presumably represents the plain outfit of Barney Rubble.

Pebbles Flintstone is one of few characters in the 90s cartoon with more than one colour (besides black details) in her outfit. We see the green with sharp black triangles of her shirt on the panelling that wraps around the ankle. In contrast, in the darker blue of her pants, we can see wrapping around the ankle with the sneaker’s inner lining and the tongue’s lining.
Speaking of the tongue, you might think that the white seems stark and out of place, but it’s perfectly placed to represent the Flintstone matriarch, Wilma Flintstone, and matches the bright white laces of the sneakers.
Don’t worry. No one forgot about the family pet, Dino, represented on the sneakers thanks to the bright pink heel counter with dots, sporting the Air Jordan Wings logo.
