After taking the world by storm in September of 2022, Slovenian Luka Doncic and Jordan brand are ready to do it again with their latest masterpiece, the Jordan Luka 2, in a stellar debut colourway dubbed “Space Hunter”. You only need to look at the sneakers to know why.

Jordan Luka 2
First revealed at a regular season contest against the Sacramento Kings in April, the second official signature silhouette in the Jordan Luka range will finally be debuting in the colourway “Space Hunter”.

Jordan brand likes to tell it as it is, and it doesn’t take much to see why this debut colourway is named the way it is. With deep blacks and pops of colour that make you think of retro interstellar travel and stunning nebulas, this pair has it all.
Keeping the sleek design of the Jordan Luka 1 but opting for sophisticated nubuck panelling in jet black, the silhouette keeps its ballistic mesh zones in an equally elegant dark tint.

The colourway brings intrigue with thoughtful decorative stitched accents that match the pops of colour that anchor the heel and the collar, as well as some inner panelling around the midfoot.
This colourway opts for turquoise speckles within the midsole construction instead of bringing the illusion of stars to life with white accents. This brilliant choice combines the Turquoise Jumpman logo on the outer midsole and the inspirational Latin words embroidered on the heels.

Sporting “NON DESISTAS” and “NON EXIERIS” embroidered on the heel, the words roughly translate to “Don’t give up” and “You will not go out”, but my Latin is a little bit rusty.

Unlike many of the Jordan Luka 1 models, the second model sports a semi-translucent outsole which screams “I glow in the dark”, which would be excellent for the interstellar theme. Still, we will have to wait until some sneakerheads get their hands on them to see if that detail is true.
The shape of the Jordan Luka 2 is very similar to that of the Luka 1, so it is nice to see that Doncic is sticking to his roots the way he always has throughout his athletic career. Still, a few fun details have been added for his latest addition to the sports footwear world.

For starters, there is much more detail when panelling on the upper, and the midsole has come up to meet the rest of the sneaker, giving the silhouette a much more futuristic look. It’s exciting to see where these sneakers and this athlete will go getting bigger and better, just like his career.

Release Date and Price
These stunning interstellar sneakers are set for release on the 11th of July, 2023, coming at us a few months earlier than their predecessor, the Jordan Luka 1.
Unfortunately, there isn’t an expected price range for these sneakers just yet. However, an educated guess would put the price tag at around $110 if we use the Jordan Luka 1 as our leaping-off point. Prices should be established closer to the time of release. Otherwise, you can expect to find out when the sneakers are released online and at connected retail stores.
