Converse is no stranger to the world of high fashion. Having recently extended its Converse X Feng Chen Wang the brand is back for another collaboration for the world of fashion. The brand has partnered with London-based designer, Paria Farzaneh, for the Converse X paria /FARZANEH drop.
With the latest collaboration, the classic basketball silhouette, the Pro Leather X2, is reimagined as a utilitarian boot, far from the courts that brought it to life. The updates to the sneaker see it ready to tackle anything you can throw at it, the weather or the terrain.
Paria Farzaneh creates a fusion of classic sport and modern utility with Converse X paria /FARZANEH. A mix of hardwearing materials and tactile components bring a fresh take on the sneaker while allowing it to stay true to its roots. All of this while still bringing with it rugged traction.
The upper is crafted in premium Nubuck leather combined with an Iranian paisley print. This selection is an expression of Farzaneh’s heritage and signature modern style fused with practical function. The print itself is crafted from reflective 3M to shine through even in those darker corners of the woods.
With the Nubuck finish, it brings with it waterproofing for those rainy days. The utilitarian touches aren’t limited to the upper either. An elevated and exaggerated rugged midsole and outsole creates plenty of traction. This brings stability underfoot for any terrain.
To round off the design, there are plenty of touches to keep you interesting. This includes an inverse panel design with material blocked logo on both the lateral and inner sides. The D-ring eyelets match perfectly with the speckled rope laces. All of this atop the unique Icicle and Green Haze colourway.
The limited-edition Converse X paria /FARZANEH collaboration is available exclusively online at converse.co.za and Lemkus. The sneaker carries a retail price of R1,899.95.
