Jordan Brand has announced the release of the first signature sneaker for Jayson Tatum, the Jordan Tatum 1, almost two years after he confirmed the collaboration (signing with Jordan Brand in the summer of 2019).

The Jordan Tatum 1 (which has received positive feedback for its innovative design and features) is being promoted as the lightest shoe in Jordan’s performance line this season, with a design that prioritizes a connection between the shoe and the foot. To achieve this, the shoe features a lightweight TPU frame for the tooling and an uncaged Zoom Air bag in the forefoot, resulting in a high-energy return and court feel. The upper is constructed with a lightweight mesh and a padded collar that offers ankle support.
As a rising star in the NBA, Jayson Tatum has expressed his desire for fans to connect with him through his Jordan sneaker, as he recalls his own childhood experience of feeling closer to his favourite players through their signature shoes. The Nike / Jordan design team has also created a kid-friendly version of the Tatum 1, with an injected TPU tailgate system for easy entry.
Jayson Tatum’s Jordan Tatum 1 sneakers (which is a promising option for basketball players who value comfort and performance) will be available in full-family sizing, with a price of $120 (around R2189), and will be released on April 7 at Nike.com and select Jordan retailers. Additional colourways will be released until June, including the “Zoo,” “Pink Lemonade,” “St. Louis,” and “Barbershop” designs.
