Inspired By Lady Liberty?
Intriguingly, one might be enticed to surmise that the sneakers draw their inspiration from the iconic Lady Liberty of the Big Apple, New York City. Yet, a deeper inspection reveals a striking semblance they share with other colour schemes crafted in honour of this monument (just like the revered Nike SB Dunk High and the illustrious Air Max Hyperposite). Although those sneakers were loved in the past, the upcoming “Crystal Mint” has a simpler and more elegant inspiration.
The inspiration for these majestic sneakers lies in one of Earth’s many crystals, a turquoise gem with copper veins, a stunning quality that you can see mirrored on the Air Jordan emblem on the tongue of the sneakers, a clear indication of where these sneakers draw their inspiration from.
Copper is repeated on a few accent elements, like a pair of eyelets for the laces, the Nike Air typography on the insole, and the NIKE lettering on the heel.

From the bottom, we see elements of Wolf Grey, Mint and white on the outsole, complemented by a white midsole that travels up the heel. A smooth white leather mudguard matches the smooth white leather of the upper, as well as the white laces and smooth white leather tongue, while panelling on the sides of the upper repeat the Wolf Grey shade in tumbled leather.
The heel counter is a stunning gradient from white to a lighter grey, transitioning to match the Wolf Grey colouring on the upper.

The upper isn’t all just white and grey, however, as all the accents that aren’t copper are repeated mint, from accents around the Wolf Grey panelling, six of the lace stays, the inner lining of the sneakers, and the rim of the tongue.
You can’t go wrong with the combination of Mint and copper; the colours have been paired since the beginning of time thanks to the gemstone, as mentioned earlier, with copper veins. Hence, these Air Jordan 2 “Crystal Mint” sneakers for women have a touch of elegance and femininity while still being a badass pair of awesome sports sneakers.

This is usually the point where we have to share the bad news that there is no real idea of when these stunning sneakers will be available in stores and online.
