Nike has recently debuted their latest addition to the “Swoosh Fly” collection, a collection of sneakers that is replacing the usual Swoosh logo on the sides of sneakers with a much less conspicuous logo. The latest to join is the Cosmic Unity 3 sneaker in stunning Ceder red glory. Intrigued? Let’s take a look at these beautiful sneakers.

Nike has been adding more silhouettes and looks to the “Swoosh Fly” collection, which uses Flyknit and Flymesh throughout the construction of the sneakers. Translating that onto the Cosmic Unity 3 silhouette has been accomplished effortlessly.
Starting from the bottom, the outsole, tread, and spine are a beautiful outdoors-inspired “Earth” brown shade, almost speckled in a way that looks like glitter. In perfect juxtaposition, the midsole is a “Football Grey” that looks amazing, repeating some of the ribbed detailing of the outsole. The midsole is split in the middle to reveal a tiny golden swoosh on the lateral side and an even smaller “003” on the medial side.
Moving up from the base, you can easily see where the “Fly” part of the collection comes in. The upper is entirely constructed of different Flyknit and Flymesh as the different sections transition horizontally throughout the upper, effectively splitting the upper into three different sections. All the mesh of the upper is a stunning dark reddish “Ceder”.
Even the tongue and laces are filled out in that same reddish Ceder colour, which matches the background of the inner lining. The insole is decorated with a golden-yellow pattern that looks like the rings of a tree.
The tongue and heel both feature a pull tab that is a reddish brown colour and feature branding; however, the tongue branding features the same 3 as the medial side, while the heel tabs feature COSMIC on the left sneaker and UNITY on the right, both of which feature the pinwheel that marks Nike’s sneakers as sustainably created and more eco-friendly than the average clothing article.
One of the new and exciting features of the sneakers is the lack of a Nike Swoosh on the lateral and medial side of the sneaker, other than a tiny swoosh in the midsole. Instead, the sides feature a logo of a basketball with the NIKE branding in a kind of Japanese/drippy typography in a similar gold colour to the rest of the branding and the patterning on the insole.
Unlike many of the sneakers we have seen lately, these are available for purchase online for a retail price of $170, thanks to the pair having seen a pretty recent release date on the 6th of November, 2023.
