Sneaker designer Peter Moore’s Nike Dunk Low is starting to creep up on its 40th anniversary. So, the range would add to its extensive line of colourways. The latest additions include the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Cargo Khaki/Mystic Red”, with a touch of summer flair added to by some autumnal finishes.

The Nike Dunk line debuted in 1985 for college athletes, so they are more straightforward than Nike’s other sneaker lines like the Air Jordans or Air Max sneakers. The sneaker line has been out for about 38 years, and the silhouette is sometimes confused with the Nike SB Dunk, which is more of a skateboarding sneaker than a general sports or basketball sneaker.
With that being said, these sneakers are not technically Nike SB Dunk sneakers, but let’s take a look at these Nike Dunk Low sneakers that have a fabulous Summer/Fall combination colourway.

Starting from the bottom, this time, Nike decided not to go with a plain gum outsole that can often be found on their Nike Dunk models, instead opting for a fitting shade of Mystic Red, paired with a white midsole to bring a brighter look to the otherwise dark pair of sneakers.

Next, we have alternating panelling and base parts representing the Cargo Khaki and Mystic Red throughout the sneakers. Starting with the mudguard, we see the Cargo Khaki smoothness covering from toe to heel in the form of the overlays on most of the sneaker, moving up the lace stays (and represented on the laces), wrapping around the back of the heel and connecting to the upper lace stays.
The Nike Swoosh logo on the side is also made of the Cargo Khaki colour, added with a smidge of mystic red decorative stitching. This motif is repeated on the heel tab that is much the same, Cargo Khaki with Mystic Red lettering reading NIKE.
The entire inner lining, including the lining of the tongue tab, is Cargo Khaki. At the same time, the rest of the upper is that same Mystic Red, from the toe box and the tongue to the upper and even the insole.

Although the first thing that might come to mind when you look at these sneakers may be Freddy Krueger and his signature sweater, he is, unfortunately, not the inspiration for this look. Still, the Fall vibes of the spooky season are appreciated.

Release Date and Price
Luckily for us, these sneakers already have a release date. The Nike Dunk Low “Cargo Khaki/Mystic Red” is set for a perfectly thematic release between the Summer and Fall months on the 12th of August, 2023.
Suppose you want to get on these before September’s proverbial spooky season begins. In that case, these sneakers may set you back by about $115, but stay tuned for the actual release to see if the expected price is the real deal. These sneakers will most likely be found in connected Nike Dunk retailers and online.
