Peter Moore’s shoes might have been introduced to the sneaker world in 1985 as performance basketball sneakers for collegiate players but the silhouette has long since been adopted for casual lifestyle and streetwear over the last (almost) four decades. Nike has embraced the change and introduced some stunning colourways and finishes just for the customers’ lifestyle needs. This is where the latest satin finish pair comes in. Introducing the new Nike Dunk Low Women’s Exclusive “Satin Green” colourway.
Despite being covered in forest-green satin, these sneakers are subtle in the rest of their elements. The sneaker lets the luxurious and shiny satin speak for itself, sticking to a stark White and Satin Green palette.
Starting from the bottom, the Nike Dunk Low silhouette has swapped its usual gum sole for a deep forest green. The texture of the outsole gives it an almost shimmery look as if there were glitter trapped inside… Oh wait, there is! The glitter is far from in your face, barely perceivable unless you are looking for it. So instead of being obnoxious as glitter sometimes can be, it adds a sophisticated layer of elegance to the otherwise subtle sneakers.
The sneaker’s midsole is a stark white that matches the satin panelling of much of the upper. The white satin blankets the toe box, moving up into the tongue, the side panelling beneath the Nike Swoosh logo, and the panelling around the ankle. The bright white perfectly contrasts the earthy and mossy green that dominates the rest of the sneakers.

Green satin covers the mudguard, the lace unit, the Nike Swoosh logo, the heel counter, and the heel tab, which is complete with white Nike branding to further the two contrasting colours. The tongue label is the opposite, white with forest green branding. Of course, the laces are green to match the rest of the upper’s elements.
The subtlety of the two colours’ interchanging elements throughout the sneakers is a perfect choice to let the satin of the sneakers speak for themselves and not have to compete with other colours and elements throughout the sneakers, giving them a sophisticated and luxurious look.
If you have already fallen in love with these sneakers, I have great news. Their release date was recently announced, and you can look forward to seeing these sneakers on the 11th of August, 2023. The Nike Dunk Low “Satin Green” is expected to set you back by around $110, and you should be able to find them online or a connected Nike Dunk retailer.
If you are a man, however, the bad news is that these sneakers are exclusively for ladies. There is always the chance that Nike will see how much everyone loves the pair and bring it out in more sizes. That means that if you want these but need help finding a pair that fits, keep your eyes peeled.
Are you adding these Nike Dunk Low “Satin Green” sneakers to your collection, ladies?
