The Air Jordan 1 Mid makes a return in Q1 this year with a sweet colourway of Pink/White. Peter Moore’s Valentine’s Day 2023 (a Coral Chalk/Desert Berry/White colourway), a grade school-exclusive set, uses typical colour-blocking, with a bright white for its base, laces, and midsole. Retailing at $110, the sneaker was a huge hit when it was released a few weeks ago during the month of love.

Reminiscent of the recently released “Washed Pink” Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, the sneaker features an upper made from a combination of light and dark pink leather, along with white leather across the sides, toes, and ankles. A bright Nike Swoosh logo stands out on the side panels for a bold look. Sitting atop the midsole is a stark white rubber base to contrast with the vibrant pink outsole.
The wonderful bright look on the iconic Air Jordan 1 Mid is sure to be popular!
Pink/White Air Jordan 1 Mid

While these are limited to grade school sizing, so they won’t be a good Valentine’s day for your significant other (unless they have tiny feet, which is a big win for them), it is the perfect gift to make one of your kids feel super special and loved on this holiday of love. Unlike the Air Force 1, Nike has dropped the cute cherry-adorned design for an attractive and simplistic design here.
Air Jordan also recently revealed their “Washed Pink” suede-coated Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. The Air Jordan 1 Mid uses the same duo of pink shades, this time to pay tribute to “love filling the air”. As mentioned, there are no cherries and a significant lack of hearts. Still, the silhouette uses the typic colour-blocking of the Air Jordans. The designer chose a crisp white hue that dominates most of the shoe, the colour of the laces, the midsole, and the toe box.
The smooth leather overlay of the rest of the upper is the vibrant “Washed Pink”. At the same time, the Swooshes are a contrasting darker pink, matching the sock liner and the tongue trip. Of course, the pink Jumpman adorns the tongue label, and the insole has one, too, matching the rest of the interior. The Air Jordan insignia is on the outer upper and not the ankle this time and is a nice contrasting white against the pink.

Release

As mentioned, this pair will only be available in grade school sizing exclusively, so unless you have tiny feet, take a look at the Air Jordan 1 Low if you want one of this year’s Valentine’s Day editions. The retail price for this pair in the US will be $110 (roughly R1 900, depending on the exchange rate).
Still, if you love the colour and these won’t fit your feet, take a look at other pink sneakers like the Nike Dunk High 1985, Nike Renew In-Season TR 12, the sustainably made Nike Downshifter 12, and the brand-new Nike Free Run 5.0 Next Nature.
