Over the past few months, we’ve seen many updated collections for the lineup of PUMA football boots. The two most prominent releases have been the PUMA FUTURE and ULTRA boots, which saw their latest updates shortly before the FIFA World Cup 2022. Continuing the momentum, PUMA has once again partnered with Neymar Jr. for its latest launch at a special Future World event in Paris. The release saw the launch of the new PUMA FUTURE Supercharge.

The All-New FUTURE Supercharge

The PUMA FUTURE range has always been about pushing innovation and technology into the future. It has pushed the boundaries of what can be done on the pitch, while doing so in style. For the latest release, PUMA has pushed this style on the FUTURE Supercharge with a radical new design, engineered for agility.
The first of these new innovations is teh FUZIONFIT360 dual mesh upper. This integrates with the exclusive PWRTAPE technology, enhancing the support for a space-age adaptive fit. As a result, it allows the wearer to focus on driving the opposition crazy, with or without the laces.
In a push towards unlocking creativity, the FUTURE Supercharge also includes engineered 3D textures placed in key contact zones. These textures enhance the ball grip and control while passing, dribbling and shooting. A few additional upgrades on the previous FUTURE is the all-new plate, which includes a split composition. This was designed to provided improved traction and stability.
Lastly, there’s the Dual-Density Motion System Outsole. It is made of a PEBAX composition in the heel, designed for stability and explosive energy transfer. Additionally, it features a flexible TPU in the forefoot for enhanced flexibility to assist in those sudden changes of direction. This is paired with a lightweight NanoGrip sockliner to minimise foot slippage within the boot itself.
A Word from Neymar Jr.

At the launch event, Neymar Jr. shared a few words on the inspiration behind the boots, as well as the significance of the launch:
“The FUTURE continues to evolve. I need a boot that feels comfortable and allows me to move with speed in all directions. The new FUTURE feels even more supportive and adaptive which helps me to make quick cuts when dribbling with the ball, so I can play without restraint. The launch of the new boot is also a beautiful moment because we are looking to find the FUTURE of the game by giving anyone the chance to compete in our FUTURE challenge to become a member of the PUMA family.”

Designed for Women
In addition to the original FUTURE Supercharge, PUMA also designed a made-for-her variant. The design was based on the volume and instep height on the anatomical shape of a woman’s foot. This allows women to perform at their highest level with boots designed specifically for them.
The PUMA FUTURE Supercharge heads to retailers from 31 January 2023.
It’ll be available at a price of R4,499 for both men’s and women’s variants. The boot will be available online at PUMA.com, as well as PUMA retail stores. Additionally, it’ll also be available at selected retailers, including Totalsports, Studio 88 and selected retailers.
