It’s been a busy day for Puma this 2nd March 2017, anouncing updates to three of its collections, which includes the Blaze of Glory (B.O.G), Clyde Sock and Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma ranges.
Blaze of Glory
The Puma Blaze of Glory has been reborn into a new era of street running, switching out mesh and foam for the modernised, engineered technology and more comfortable Ignite tooling, mashed with streetwear-inspiration. The B.O.G. is tailored to performance-inspired perfection with a stretchy collar, breathable knit vamp and deconstructed overlays, redefining modern street presence. The B.O.G. will be available in black, white and olive colourways, and will be available in Puma Select stores, Sportscene, The Cross Trainer, Side Step and other selected retailers from 15 March 2017, at a retail price of R2,599.
Clyde Sock
Puma has joined forces with the creative Parisian label, Black Rainbow to unveil the latest reimagining of the classic Puma Clyde series, the Puma Clyde Sock. Founder of Black Rainbow, Greg Hervieux, says that “we worked with PUMA to update the Clyde silhouette to make it relevant to today’s aesthetics. Walt Frazier himself thinks it’s fly.” The Clyde Sock will be available on 4 March 2017 in black and white colourways at Puma Select stores and Shelflife stores across the country, at a retail price of R2,699.
Fenty X Puma
Puma will soon release the Autumn-Winter 2017 Fenty X Puma collection in Paris, fans can still get their hands on the Spring-Summer 2017 collection from the collaboration, which will drop in stores on 9 March 2017. The range was previewed in September 2016 at the Paris Fashion Week, which blends styles from the 18th Century, French Rococo and Neo-Classical flair with athletic street styling. Puma is set to release a number of items from the range between March and June before the Autumn-Winter collection reveal. The first item to be available is the Fenty X Puma Bow Sneaker and Bow Slide, which will be available at Puma Select stores, Xtrend, Anatomy and Shelflife stores nationwide.
