Over the years, PUMA has been a pivotal part of the street culture scene with the likes of the PUMA Suede and Clyde classics. While the two silhouettes are definitely the highlight of the PUMA archives, a third classic has also been a mainstay among fans, the California, which rose to form on the courts to become a street style staple. The sneaker has now been reimagined by the PUMA design team in the form of the PUMA Cali.
Paying homage to the original silhouette, and channelling this season’s West Coast themes, the reimagined Cali sneaker is back to hit the streets. The Cali keeps its edgy look with a thick rubber sole and rubber tooling, while the upper features premium full leather for a fresh, modern touch. The all-white colourway sets the scene for a clean, fresh look, only breaking the theme with contrasting PUMA signage in gold text on the upper, and a black logo on the tongue and insole.
The PUMA Cali is set to drop on 2 October across the globe. The silhouette will be available at PUMA stores across South Africa for a retail price of R1,599.
