The reimagined PUMA Cali range has been a staple for the women’s range since it relaunched in 2018. In recent months, PUMA has added to the range with the release of the Cali Bold and Cali Remix drops. For the latest variant, PUMA has once again partnered with Selena Gomez for the release of the PUMA Cali Sport.
As an artist herself, Selena Gomez understands that the process of creation and evolution doesn’t stop. This is the approach PUMA has taken to reimagine the original PUMA California OG, while keeping most of its original design cues and styling. For the latest evolution of the Cali, the Sport stands out with a rubber platform in light grey with hints of soft nudes throughout. The sneaker features a white leather upper, complete with a new vamp design, taupe leather detailing with taupe suede on the Formstrip, as well as grey suede overlays. The Cali Sport also keeps its signature rubber pod on the front of the shoe with a contrasting nude cap, while at the same time introduces edgy tooling with a TPU piece at the back as well as delicate zig-zag stitching.
The PUMA Cali Sport is set to drop on 6 November 2019 with additional colourways set to hit stores in the 2020 New Year. The shoe will be available at PUMA stores this week, and other retailers including Archive online, The Cross Trainer, Side Step, OFFICE London, Shesha and selected retailers across the country in early January. The silhouette will retail for R1,699.
