PUMA has extended its range of 90s-inspired sneakers with the release of the updated PUMA CELL Viper. Having previously dropped the Endura and Venom from the CELL range, the latest is a fresh take on the heritage running silhouette with a radical new design.
Having first launched the CELL technology in 1988, it was widely used amongst PUMA’s running range throughout the 90s. The revolutionary tech features hexagonal cells in the midsole to provide the optimal shape for stable and peak cushioning levels, making runners move faster and stronger, with more confidence with each stride. The CELL Viper sees a return to the streets after 20 years with a bold, yet minimalist design and style. In addition to the updated CELL tech, the Viper includes an all-new upper, which remains true to the OG silhouette. The design is highlighted by the very recognisable Formstripe on the upper along with its vintage colours. The silhouette keeps its chunky midsole look with CELL branding on the lateral view. The first release features a PUMA White – Ponderosa Pine colourway.
The PUMA CELL Viper is set to retail for R1,499 and will be available at PUMA and sportscene stores from today across the country.
