PUMA has partnered with many reputable brands recently, including the likes of PLEASURES, BAIT and P.A.M., to bring fresh reimagining classics from the archives. This time, PUMA has renewed their partnership with fashion designer Dapper Dan. The latest PUMA x Dapper Dan collection brings a mix of footwear, apparel and accessories.

For the latest collection, PUMA x Dapper Dan brings sophistication to archived pieces. In addition to this, it is reworked through the lens of basketball and hip-hop, making it the quintessential streetwear collection with iconic flavour and luxury.
The basketball culture coincided with hip-hop culture with off-court swagger from the game to the streets. It gave rise to the popularity of the pre-game walk, which has since become an iconic runway for the top ballers in the NBA. Players showcase their latest fits and collaborations, creating inspiration for streetwear throughout the world. In addition to this, the collection also forms part of hip-hops 50th anniversary celebrations.
First up for the collection is the PUMA x Dapper Dan Clyde sneaker. The iconic sneaker, one of the all-time greats, is featured in two distinct colourways. This includes the Blazing Blue/Lake Blue colourway, as well as the Croissant/Rose Dust colourway.
Both sneakers feature the monogram and diamond print on the suede upper, creating a unique textured approach to the design. Furthermore, it includes subtle stitching, embroidery and zip detailing across the upper. This stems from Dapper Dan’s tailoring background.

For the apparel, the PUMA x Dapper Dan collection includes a velour take on the T7 tracksuit, a classic PUMA staple. The designs feature gold detailing and embroidery, matching the aesthetic of the Clyde sneakers. It is given an overhaul with lux textures to match.
In addition to the tracksuit, the apparel range also includes a sweater vest, Mac-style jacket and matching short-sleeve shirt. These have all been influenced by Dapper Dan’s unique cultural interpretation of mainstream fashion and the early hip-hop world. There are also stand-out pieces for women, including a corset, cropped hoodie and shorts to round off the collection.
