Following on from their successful collaboration back in December 2016, Puma and Diamond Supply Co. have once again joined forces for the drop of a new Spring/Summer ’18 collection. The duo’s new collection will include a list of skate and streetwear items – sneakers, apparel and accessories.
The Diamond Supply Co. was started in 1998 by Nicholas Tershay, a.k.a. Nick Diamond, in his San Francisco bedroom as a skateboard hardware store and has grown rapidly in the passed 20 years. The company has gained a reputation across the globe as one of the biggest, most authentic skate and streetwear brands in the industry.
The second range of the Puma X Diamond Supply Co. collaboration reflects a shared passion for sport. The first collaboration wasn’t available in South Africa, but the skateboarding scene has boomed since then, meaning the unique design and signature Diamond colours finally get to reach our shores.
The new collection will see a two-part drop with the first set to reach stores in late January. The new range features designs and styling as if the partnership were completed in the ’80s, boasting authentic materials, textures, colours and over-all designs. Puma also refreshed the iconic Teamsport global graphic directly from their ’70s and ’80s ranges, including the Suede and Clyde, remixed with Diamond Supply Co.’s iconic DNA and colours.
The first of the drops from the Puma X Diamond Supply Co. range of sneakers, apparel and accessories is set to drop on 27 January 2018 and will be available at Puma Select, X-Trend stores, selected Archive stores, Superbalist.com, COP Capital and Madaiza. The Puma and Diamond Supply Co. Clyde sneaker, in Diamond Blue colourway, will retail for R1,899.
In addition to the drop, Puma will be hosting skateboarding demos at their Select stores in both Cape Town and Johannesburg on the same day (Saturday 27 January) from 09:00 and 14:00. Guests can catch the 20SK8 Crew at the Puma Select on Bree Street and Skate Society Soweto at Puma Select Braamfontein. Skaters are encouraged to rock up with their skateboards to cut some shapes on the pop-up skate ramps.
