PUMA Drops RS-0 Collection - Polaroid, SEGA, Roland Collaborations

Last month, PUMA dropped its reboot of the ’80s classic RS-0 sneaker. This was coupled with the teaser announcement of the collaboration with SEGA and the world’s favourite hedgehog, Sonic. At a launch event in Berlin, PUMA officially launched the all-new Running Range. The rebooted RS sneaker was launched alongside a few additional collaborations, which included partnerships with SEGA, Polaroid, Roland and Ader Error.

The launch event took guests on a tour down memory lane of the RS archive, highlighting some of the world firsts showcasing the 80s OG styles, including the different iterations in the form of the RS-Computer, RS-100 and the RS-1. This also included the showcase of the reboots, including the RS-350. This paved way for the drop of the latest collection, which includes the new RS-0 Sound, RS-0 Optic and RS-0 Gaming silhouettes. PUMA has partnered with these influential and creative brands, which push culture forward through innovation in design, style and technology, each of which tells their own story of reinvention through the 80s.

PUMA RS-0 Sonic

SEGA: The PUMA RS-0 Sonic is inspired by SEGA’s beloved game, Sonic the Hedgehog. The textured suede upper recalls Sonic’s trademark blue fur. Take a closer look at other familiar colour hints from the game.

PUMA RS-0 Polaroid

Polaroid: The PUMA RS-O Polaroid takes design hints from the iconic Polaroid OneStep analog instant camera. The sneaker features a premium white leather upper and the Polaroid Colour Spectrum graphic on the heel.

PUMA RS-0 Roland

Roland: The PUMA RS-0 Roland is inspired by the game-changing TR-808 drum machine that made an indelible thump in the history of all musical genres. More than its abilities, the machine looks rad with a multi-coloured panel with switches and knobs that interplayed with LED lights. This same retro-future vibe goes on with the RS-0 Roland sneaker. It features premium leather black upper, reflective laces and midsole details in signature TR-808 colours – red, orange and yellow.
