A few weeks ago, PUMA launched their retro range, rebooting a range from their classics archive with the release of the RS-0 collection, featuring the iconic R-System. The team has continued the momentum with their latest release from the RS-0, featuring retro colours based on ’80s arcade gaming themes.
The RS-0, when announced, would be featured across various different popular cultural genres, including gaming, music, photography and the likes, while also partnering with different companies to bring their vision to light. These have already included SEGA, Polaroid, Roland and Ader Error.
The latest drop forms part of the gaming pillar, with PUMA introducing the RS-0 PLAY. The range is inspired by 1980s video games, which includes experimenting with colours and translucent details. The key style boasts primary colours, a leather upper with subtle perforations on the vamp and a tonal embossed Formstrip. Primary coloured (red and yellow) padded inserts inspired by game console buttons are featured on the midsole, while the outsole has a modern colour-blocking design. The look is completed by R-System logos are present on the tongue and outsole.
Two more colourways of are also available; PUMA Black-High Risk Red-PUMA White and Winsome Orchid-Biscay Green-PUMA White.
The latest PUMA RS-0 pack, featuring all-new colourways, is currently available across South Africa and will be exploring cultural genres such as gaming, music and photography, rolling out for the next of the year. The sneakers will be available for R1,899 at PUMA stores, Sportscene, X-Trend, Spree, Madazia, Jack Lemkus and selected retailers across the country.
