Following the successful launch of their AW’17 collection, Puma and Rihanna have kept the ball rolling with an update to the Fenty Slide collection, which now features the popular silhouette in glorious suede.
Fenty by Rihanna has created a new trend in designer slides, which continues to grow, seeing numerous counterfeits, replicas, and even spin-offs by other brands. After the success of the original Fenty Slides, the team expanded the range in the form of the Jelly Slides and Fur Slides, and have now released yet another variant, the Suede Slides, which form part of the University Collection.
The collection was originally inspired by the slides usually worn by soccer players (or football as it should be known) off the field. Rihanna’s creative team designed the slides with a more feminine twist, with various palettes and materials to create something quite unique.
The Suede Fenty Slide are available in three colourways, featuring the F.U. branded suede strap, classic lightweight design and feel, and a suede strap in the seasonal “collegiate” chenille lettering. The three colour options include the Clematic Blue-Scarlet Ibis, Golden Brown-Scarab and Scarlet Ibis–Bright Green. The Fenty Slide collection is available at Puma Select, Puma Sandton City, Puma Pavillion, Shelflife, X-Trend and Superbalist, for a price of R1,299.
