The Puma Clyde has received numerous iterations over the years, if not decades, and Puma has once again added some additional flavour to the classic silhouette, this time paying tribute to Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier’s roots.
The all-new sneaker will feature some signage from Frazier’s hometown, the city of Atlanta, which includes the iconic Phoenix symbol. The updated sneaker will feature two silhouettes in the form of bright colourways, Dandelion Yellow and True Blue. These colours, and the phoenix logo features on the city’s flag, and displayed proudly on the sneaker. The phoenix carries great symbolism for the city, an indication of its rising from the ashes after the Great Atlanta fire of 1917. The pack features a subtle, all-over tonal emboss of the mythical bird.
The updated Clyde sneakers will be available from 1st June 2017, and will be available at Puma Select stores retailing at R1,999.
