A few days ago, Puma announced the upcoming release of the Tsugi Netfit, a lifestyle sneaker for the streets. Continuing in the same vein, Puma has today announced the release of the performance shoe for the Netfit range in the form of the Puma Ignite Netfit.
With the release of the game changingin innovation of the Netfit technology a few months ago, the company continues to overhaul some of its popular shoes in both the lifestyle and performances segments, allowing owners a customise their laces with infinite possibilities with the unique lacing system of the Netfit.
The Ignite Netfit also features Puma’s evoKnit form fitting knit for added comfort and a fresh new look. The heel is reinforced with Puma’s TPU Heel clip, locking the heel into the platform of the shoe for ultimate stabilization. It also boasts the proprietary PU foam with a new chevron design giving users superior energy return and comfort. Combining this with the Molded EVA sockliner and the result is ultimate comfort on every run. In addition, the outsole provides a perfect platform for users to take every stride with confidence. The Puma EverTrack outsole rubber also gives additional durability and traction line runs from the heel to the toe, with flex grooves allowing for full flexibility at toe off. Furthermore, a redesigned transition line runs from the heel to the toe of the shoe and mimics the natural gait of the user to create the smoothest ride possible.
The shoe is the ultimate performance sneaker, which is why Puma has partnered with world-renowned sprinters, fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt and up-and-coming, Andre De Grasse. Both have been training with the Ignite Netfit for the World Championships in London 2017. Bolt had this to say about his training with the shoe:
“I do a lot of training – sometimes a bit too much – and it’s always different. Sometimes I’m doing power work, and then sometimes it’s speed and agility work, so it’s important to have a shoe that’s flexible enough to do the right exercise. The best thing about the NETFIT Technology is that it is customizable and I can lace them any way I want; not only to get the best fit, but it gives me the opportunity to be creative with it. Sometimes you wish you could just design shoes purely tailored to your own feet and now you can. Plus, they look great, and that’s always the most important thing, right?”
The Puma Ignite Netfit will, along with the Tsugi Netfit, will be on sale from 15th July, and will retail for R2,799 for men, and R2,599 for women, at Pume stores and retailers around the country.
