Following the recent campaigns of the PUMA FUTURE 19.1 and PUMA ONE 19.1, as well as their associated Hacked Packs, PUMA has dropped an all-new pair of football boots, straight from the archives.
The PUMA King was an iconic boot for decades since its first launch in 1968. PUMA teamed up with Thierry Henry to pay homage to over 50 years of football with the release of the re-engineered PUMA King Platinum.
Having been the football boot of choice for many a decade, worn by some of the greatest players in the history of the sport, the reimagining of the design maintains the iconic look of the original, with an updated silhouette with modern football technologies. The design team was assisted by Theirry Henry with his inputs on technical and performance capabilities.
PUMA has kept the smooth, premium K-Leather of the boot while adding an enhanced 3D ‘touch’ texture for added control during a game. In addition to the improvements on the outer, PUMA has also enhanced the interior with an improved fit with knitted tongue, complete with an ultra-modern, slim design for a lightweight ‘RAPIDSPRINT’ outsole to make it as fast as possible.
The PUMA King Platinum is set for launch on 1 July 2019 and will be available through various retailers throughout the country.
